Huldra Silver Inc. is in the business of exploring and developing high grade silver deposits.
Since its incorporation in March 1980, the Company has been engaged in the exploration and development of its wholly owned group of mineral tenures located at Treasure Mountain in the Similkameen Mining Division, British Columbia.
In 1985 the Company discovered and exposed as silver rich vein for a length of 250 meters that was tested by shallow drilling in the summer of 1986. The property’s potential allowed the Company to go public in 1987 and attain a listing on the TSX-V in August of that year. In 2010 the Company added new management that began working on a new strategic focus that entailed putting the Treasure Mountain Mine into production utilizing offsite milling capability.
2011 Highlights:
- Acquired 70.7 hectares of additional property adjacent to the 100% owned 7000 acre Treasure Mountain Property and constructed an onsite 48-man camp facility to commence mining operations.
- Acquired Craigmont Holdings Ltd., which holds real property, mineral claims and mineral leases, covering approximately 8,400 hectares (collectively, the “Craigmont Property”), located in south central British Columbia, approximately 10 kilometers west of Merritt or approximately 100km from the Treasure Mountain Mine.
- Purchased a new 200 TPD (tonne per day) grinding and floatation mill for construction at the Merritt property.
- Submitted all mining, milling, and environmental permitting for a 60,000 tonne per year operation for review.
- 315 metres of underground development were added to the existing 2750 metres of development in order to commence a permitted underground 10,000 tonne bulk sample;
- 4,000 tonnes of material were mined from underground operations with approximately 6000 tonnes of additional stockpiles, exploration and development material transported to the mill site.
- Exploration at Treasure Mountain consisted of 69 diamond drill holes over a total length of approximately 7000 metres with 671 surface soil geochemistry samples taken.
Huldra Silver Inc. is currently working on plans to put its Treasure Mountain project, which is located 3 hours east of Vancouver, BC into development, subject to permitting and financing. The Company is also actively assessing other opportunities for acquisition and development.
